It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that Andrew Whittaker, partner and head of our Corporate Team, died on 5th February 2013. He had dealt with his protracted illness with great determination and a deprecating sense of humour, and confronted the news only last week that his condition had irreversibly deteriorated with admirable courage. We understand that the family is arranging a private cremation, and there will then be a memorial service on a date to be announced. It is intended that the office will be closed on the date of the service, as a mark of respect, and to allow members of the Firm to attend it. - Roger Peters, Senior Partner
